Check out our list below detailing just some of the many popular attractions.

  The Cliffs Of Moher

One of Ireland's most popular tourist destinations is the spectacular views around the Cliffs of Moher.  Beneath the towering Cliffs, the Atlantic Ocean churns ceaselessly. Standing at an impressive 702 feet above the water and stretching nearly nine miles along County Clare's coast, these cliffs showcase nature's grandeur.

Buffeted by persistent winds, they offer breath-taking vistas over Galway Bay and the Aran Islands. For an equally awe-inspiring experience, embark on the five-mile coastal Doolin Cliff Walk.

While crowds are common at this popular natural wonder, evenings offer a chance for tranquillity, with the added bonus of witnessing a stunning sunset

  The Wild Atlantic Way

Explore Ireland's stunning coastal scenery on the Wild Atlantic Way, a captivating road trip spanning over 1,500 miles from rugged Malin Head in Donegal to charming Kinsale in Cork.

This scenic route winds through Sligo, Mayo, Galway, Clare, and Kerry, offering breath-taking landscapes and quaint towns along the way.

Whether you start from the north or south, you'll encounter well-marked signs guiding you through the mesmerizing beauty of Ireland's western coast.

  Glendalough

Nestled within a deep valley carved by the Ice Age, the 100-foot round tower of Glendalough emerges amidst the trees, framed by the steep forested slopes of Wicklow Mountains National Park.

Founded by Saint Kevin in the sixth century, this historic monastic settlement and pilgrimage site, aptly named 'glen of two lakes', exudes tranquillity and charm.

Glendalough is widely regarded as one of Ireland's most beautiful tourist attractions, offering a network of scenic walking trails, including the renowned Wicklow Way.

  Birr Castle

Since 1620, Birr Castle has served as the residence of the Parsons family. Visitors have the opportunity to explore the castle and its extensive gardens, which boast over 2,000 plant species and a majestic grove of redwood trees.

The estate also features the historic Great Telescope, built in 1845 by the 3rd Earl of Rosse, who gained renown for his early discoveries concerning the spiral nature of galaxies.

Continuing the journey into the cosmos, visitors can observe the estate's cutting-edge low-frequency radio telescope, I-LOFAR, which contributes to ground-breaking astrophysics research on a global scale.

Newgrange

Newgrange is a testament to early engineering prowess, stands as one of Europe’s most extraordinary Neolithic archaeological marvels.

Dating back to 3,200 BC, this expansive passage tomb predates the Great Pyramids of Giza and Stonehenge.

Through ingenious Stone Age design, its main chamber experiences illumination once a year (weather permitting), as a small slit aligns with the rising sun during the winter solstice in late December.

Situated within the Brú na Bóinne UNESCO World Heritage site, nestled along the River Boyne, Newgrange forms an integral part of one of Europe's most significant clusters of prehistoric sites.

  Kilkenny City

Kilkenny is a magical medieval enchanted city, which once held the title of Irish capital during the Middle Ages.

The city is situated along the banks of the River Nore in the picturesque heart of central Ireland,

The city was once a stronghold of Anglo-Norman invaders. Its architectural legacy is a significant attraction, narrated through the Medieval Mile Museum and evident in the atmospheric cobblestone streets and laneways, overseen by the majestic 12th-century Kilkenny Castle.

The Rock of  Cashel

The Rock of Cashel is perched at the top of a jagged outcrop, overlooking the velvety green landscape of County Tipperary.   For over a millennium, it exudes an aura reminiscent of a film set.

This famous setting is known by many as St Patrick’s Rock. This huddle of partly ruined ecclesiastical buildings that include a 13th-century cathedral was once the seat of the High Kings of Munster and is one of Ireland’s most imposing historic sites.

The 112-mile Ring of Kerry offers an abundance of scenic photo opportunities, establishing itself as one of Ireland’s most celebrated touring routes.

Encircling the edges of the Iveragh Peninsula in the southwestern corner of the country, it commences and concludes in Killarney.

Throughout its course, it showcases a breath-taking panorama of mountains and Atlantic-battered coastal vistas.

The route encompasses notable attractions such as the UNESCO World Heritage-listed monastic settlement on Skellig Michael and the resplendent golden sands of Rossbeigh Beach.
